CAN YOU RAISE FUNDS FOR SKF?

As a charity, Southport Kidney Fund would not exist without the generosity of the public. Although we are dear to many local people's hearts, as a small local charity, we simply don't have the resources of the better known organisations. This year we need to raise over £4,000 to continue our vital work heliping local kidney patients. A small but dedicated core of volunteers help to raise funds for us. Being lesser known also means we don't have many regular fundraisers.

There are several ways you can help us raise funds. Here are a few ideas:

  • Twice a year SKF is allowed a supermarket collection at Morrisons and Sainsbury's. Could you spare an hour or two and collect for us? You'll have a bucket or tin to collect cash and give out stickers. In the past we have had to cancel collections due to not having enough volunteers.

  • Shopkeepers & Publicans: Could you put one of our collection tins on your counter? This brings in vital funds for our charity.

  • Are you a runner planning a Marathon, 10K, Triathlon or Tough Mudder? Why not get sponsored in aid of SKF? We'll give you a certificate of appreciation for your effort in raising much needed funds for Southport Kidney Fund.

  • Could you hold a coffee morning or Cake Sale for SKF and invite your neigbours? It's a great way of making new friends and raising money for SKF.

  • Does your club or pub fancy putting on a quiz night, social evening or other fundraising event for SKF? Or you may be in a Band, or are a D.J. who could put on a fundraiser for us.

  • Do you fancy doing something whacky for us? Like lying in a bed of custard, bungee jumping in fancy dress, or even getting married whilst skydiving?

  • Are you a teacher? Could your class raise funds for Southport Kidney Fund? How about a Sponsored Silence, Sponsored Spelling or a Bring And Buy Sale?

  • You might want to make a donation in memory of a loved one or close friend via our Just Giving page, details of which are on our Links page.

If the answer to any of these is YES, then we'd love to hear from you. Contact our Chairperson Anne Glover for more details. See our Contact pages for further details .
